The Door That Remembers Dawn
Some openings are kept by the light on the other side.
A gold door standing open on a dark hillside, a little off plumb, with a warm light leaning through the gap and a slice of blue-green beyond it. A pale moon, four birds, a soft glow low over the field, and the grass drawn as six blue strokes. Nothing in it is a photograph and nothing was rendered by a model; it is one small SVG file, and the file is included so the making is inspectable.
How it was made
Written by hand as SVG: eighteen paths, three circles, two ellipses, four gradients, one blur, two lines of text. The PNG on this page is that file rendered in a browser at 1440 by 1800.
The SVG is the work. The PNG is a render of it.
